Job Description:

As a Housekeeper at The Blake of Taos Ski Valley your duties include professionally and efficiently cleaning many spaces within The Blake, The Blake Residences, The Resort Center Building, and The Lake Fork Building. You provide top-tier housekeeping services in high-end accommodations to guests from all over the world, providing excellent customer service when interacting with guests, and assisting The Blake hospitality team in providing guests with some of the best service in todays ski industry. As a Housekeeper you strive to exemplify the best in work ethic, dependability, time management, attention to detail, customer service, and quality of work while housekeeping in The Blake and The Blake Residences.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Reliable attendance on all scheduled workdaysWork in teams to clean and sanitize guest rooms to the highest quality.Follow checklists as given for each room or location.Communicates with Supervisors and Managers daily and throughout the workday, communicating finished rooms, maintenance issues, guest requests, needed items, etc.Maintain service closets, housekeeping carts, and vacuums.Follow all service closet and loading dock procedures.Greet, smile at, and provide excellent customer service to guests when in the hallways.Report all issues with rooms.Follow all trash and recycling procedures.Follow all safety and chemical procedures.Always use proper PPEClean The Lake Fork Building, The Resort Center Building, Public areas, Firehouse offices, and the HR offices as assigned.Deep Clean hotel rooms, public areas, and base area spaces (Closure season only)Strip and Bag rooms as needed.Return all lost and found items, properly tagged, to the housekeeping office.Be kind to all guests and fellow team members.Snow removal from balconies and other public areasResponding to Guest requestsLaundry duties as assigned.Housekeeping Tasks as assigned.

Qualifications/Knowledge:
Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings.Will be required to be fluent in English, other language skills preferred. Will be required to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written.Previous Housekeeping experience, preferred.Will be required to ask for help and clarification.Ability to follow all department and TSV guidelines and procedures.

Work Environment:
Taos Ski Valley, Inc. is often a fast-paced work environment, especially during Holiday and Peak days. TSVI is located in a high-altitude alpine environment. Position may require travel on uneven, snow-packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold, and/or humid conditions. Must be able to work in close quarters and with other staff.

Physical Demands of Position Include:
Frequently standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and reaching for long periods of time daily. Occasionally lifting 40-70 pounds. This position will require you to be out in winter conditions 10% of the time and indoors 30% of the time.

Background Check:
Positions dealing with children, of safety-sensitive and/or confidential nature, require driving or positions that handle cash may require a background check and MVR check. Employment is contingent upon a favorable background check and MVR check.
