Cage Attendant 1st Shift (7am - 5:30pm) at Leedo Manufacturing Company in EAST BERNARD, Texas

Job Description:

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
The Cage Attendant is responsible for receiving materials into the warehouse and turning in all receiving documents to purchasing. The Cage Attendant is also responsible for releasing and tracking requested material to plant personnel for daily production needs. In addition, the Cage Attendant will also be responsible for housekeeping tasks as well.

Essential Functions and Duties
Responsible for all supply deliveries to the Cage.Verifies quality and quantity of deliveries before turning in receiving documents to purchasing.Responsible for preventive maintenance action items performed daily at company standards for the Cage forklift.Releases and/or delivers material out to requesting departments.Responsible for housekeeping duties inside the CageResponsible for turning in all completed transfer request forms at the end of the day. Additional duties as assigned by Manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must be able to perform data entry tasks, both electronic and written.Must be able to safely drive the Cage forkliftMust be able to perform basic math skills and ability to read a measuring tape.Must have a strong sense of urgency in accomplishing hourly goals.Must have a basic ability for reading and writing.

Education and Experience
Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.Will take work experience in lieu of Education.

Physical Requirements and/or Working Conditions
Factory environment, possibly including heavy lifting, and areas where eye protection, hearing protection, and respirators are required.
