Job Description:

Primarily responsible for programming PLCs, electrical maintenance repairs and installations, equipment troubleshooting and assisting with repairs.Complete duties in a safe, sanitary and efficient manner. An employee working in this area is expected to operate as a member of a team, which includes assisting one another as needed.

Programming
Install programs, or repair automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllersMaintain integrity of the PLC automation servers and PLC processorsTroubleshoot and modify ladder logic programs on Allen Bradley processors using RSLogix 500 and 5000 softwareDevelop a strategy for PLC automation support which includes training of operatorsResponsible for integration of specialized hardware and software into manufacturing systems to enhance automation and control with an emphasis on efficiency
Electrical
Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipmentResponsible for creating and maintaining effective electrical preventive maintenance proceduresand schedulesMaintain machinery, meeting maintenance requirements for 480-volt, 3 phase systems, and minimizing downtime will be necessary
Troubleshooting

Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with fellow employees to diagnose problem or repair machineSupport, troubleshoot, improve, and maintain high-speed production and packaging machinery
