Equity Trading, Vice President

Who we are looking for

The Equity Trading Specialist will be primarily responsible for supporting all of the firm's electronic trading needs as well as supporting its existing high touch trading franchise. The role is a client facing role and has a strong emphasis on client service and problem resolution. The ideal candidate must show strong traits in exercising sound judgment, working in a pressure environment, prioritizing tasks, identifying potential problems, learning new concepts, following procedures and communicating with clients.

Due to the role requirements this job needs to be performed primarily in the office with some flex work opportunities available.

What you will be responsible for

As Equity Trading, Vice President you will


  • Designated specialist and execution consultant on all aspects of electronic trading

  • Educate clients on State Street's private label equity algorithmic suite

  • Help implement bespoke custom strategies on behalf of client base

  • Support client base by providing real time analytics feedback on client orders and executions

  • Develop close working relationships with portfolio managers, traders and technology staff

  • Investigating trade and technical issues on behalf of clients


What we value

These skills will help you succeed in this role


  • 5-7 years of Equity Capital Markets experience in the electronic trading space

  • 5-7 years of direct support and relationship management with buys side trading desks

  • Deep understanding of Order Management Systems (OMS) functionality.

  • Previous expertise in equity sales/trading including buy side vendor OMS/EMS, FIX connectivity, and other aspects of electronic trading

  • Hold Series 7, 55 and 63 licenses


Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of algorithmic trading is required

  • Bachelor's Degree or international equivalent

  • Domain expertise in TCA reporting and Venue Analysis

  • Possess a firm understanding of Americas equity market structure and best execution standards.

  • Able to work in a fast paced, market-driven, environment and troubleshoot and problem solve in real-time.

  • Desire to build relationships across internal divisions in order to uncover opportunities to position offerings with internal clients.

  • Flexible and willing and able to undertake a broad range of tasks

Salary Range:
$150,000 - $150,000 Annual
