About the role
This position is responsible for collaborating with the Production Supervisor to assist with daily operations of the production floor, ensuring the shift meets established safety, quality, and production goals in compliance with all applicable legal and AZDHS requirements.
This position is responsible for leading the Pre-roll department team members with effective communication and direction to achieve the daily, weekly, and monthly goals at a highly productive and efficient pace. The Pre-roll Captain is responsible for working with the team to accurately forecast future demand, clearly communicating the plans to the team, training new and existing employees on the proper techniques, and keeping the consistent flow of finished, quality products to inventory.
This role is responsible for leading, guiding, and training the Pre-roll Department team members to pack, weigh, and tamp all Timeless flower products, supporting the production and maintaining an inventory backstock of SKUs to be available promptly to fulfill the exporting order schedule. The Captain of the Pre-roll team must lead and participate in their job with professionalism and safety, consistently, while adhering to all AZDHS laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members to ensure daily, weekly, monthly, and quality goals are met.
Conduct employee evaluations, coaching, and other documentation as necessary to maintain consistent and successful results.
Ensure effective and appropriate communication with team members to increase team unity and operative flow.
Bring any and all safety, security, and unsatisfactory cannabis product and equipment concerns forward through the proper chain of command, including and not limited to the The Production Manager, Assistant Production Manager, and the Production Supervisor.
Supporting the Production Supervisor to guide and train the Pre-roll department members to package all Timeless Brands products into a variety of SKUs while maintaining quality standards
Responsible for the prioritization, completion, and documentation of all tasks performed by the team members as instructed by the Production Supervisor and Production Managers
Must keep constant supervision of the Pre-roll department team members to ensure all work is being done properly and efficiently, in accordance with our Policy, Procedures, and SOPs.

Assist in the reviews and update when SOP processes are changed, to be approved by Management.

This role will be responsible for leading prompt production of all pre-roll(s) of all SKUs planned to achieve daily and weekly goals, fulfilled with accuracy and consistent organization to maintain compliance and company standards.
Ensure the product is weighed and closed properly, and has an accurate count of units. Then run through Packaging Team/Machine Line efficiently, resolving product and equipment concerns as necessary, packaging the product according to desired specifications, and properly storing it for the next phase of processing into the Finished Goods Inventory.
Facilitating the work of the Pre-roll department employees by providing answers to questions, as well as providing them with the tools and resources they need to perform their tasks
Maintain thorough, consistent, and professional communication with other Production departments as necessary to achieve company objectives.
Support the Co-Captain(s) in Production with training, coaching, supervision, and disciplining appropriately within the department. Be prepared to communicate, document, and report on employees' performance, behavior, and attendance.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment following Timeless procedures.
Properly use equipment and supplies to maintain its integrity and longevity.
Work and train in a timely manner and strive to increase productivity. Train employees to meet and exceed daily quotas.
Maintain a culture of professionalism.
Contributes and maintains instructed cleaning, sanitizing, and organization in the Pre-roll room. Especially being in a Sterile room!
Monitor and report any noticeable unsatisfactory cannabis product to the Production Supervisor and/or the Production Managers.
Promote the mission, vision, and values of the company to all team members at all times.
Attend and add value to team meetings.
Tracks product and maintains documentation standards, ensuring products are accounted for throughout the packaging process.
Keep a Fun, Edgy, and Caring Culture
Oversee the training and continuous maintenance of all Timeless machines.

Skills

Experience/Qualifications

Previous leadership experience in a related industry or work environment is preferred.
Experience working in a fast-paced production environment is preferred.
Must be twenty-one (21) years of age, according to A.R.S. §36-2801.10
Must consent to a criminal background check performed by the Company and the Arizona Department of Health Services, according to A.R.S. § 36-2804.01
Employment offers are contingent upon the successful completion of the criminal background check conducted by the Arizona Department of Health Services, according to A.R.S. § 36-2804.01 and A.R.S. §36-2801.10
Valid Arizona State Issued ID

Must be authorized to work in the US.

The Captain must be able to perform all duties on their feet during an 8, and up to a 12-hour shift

Must be capable of working in front of a computer for extended periods of time based on job duties listed above

Compensation
Base Range

$18.00 / hour


Bonus Potential

Up to 10% of total salary if 100% KPIs are met annually
