Job Description:

Provide the development and implementation of programs related to logistics for all Manufacturing operations; offer Industrial Engineering Services to all Manufacturing operations. Oversee complex system design projects. Perform all jobs safely, efficiently and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire plant in the areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR) and our Customer 1st strategy. • Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited college or university
• 5 + years of related experience in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field
• Proven leadership experience in the food industry

Desired

• Proficiency and breadth of experience in Industrial Engineering technology and application
• Developed facilitative/coaching style of management opportunities
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Proficient in AutoCAD

• Develop plant capacity studies.
• Assist in design and layout of new facilities or revisions to existing facilities.
• Generate period operating reports for each business group.
• Provide transportation systems for new business ventures.
• Assure individual manufacturing plants are provided with low cost efficient transportation services.
• Negotiate and write contracts for distributor type services, third party warehousing, shuttling and hostelling services for manufacturing plants.
• Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provides feedback to direct reports.
• Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.
• Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of SQF
• Accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
