Job Description:


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Corpus Christi, TX that is looking for a Structural/Civil Field Engineer.

Summary:
This role will require collaboration across functional groups to resolve technical design issues, ensure quality, track, and report cost/schedule metrics. This is a role that requires sound technical judgement and creative problem-solving skills to support operations.

Duties Include:


  • The Structural/Civil Field Engineer will review and approve contractor quality plans and procedure

  • Develop Inspection Test Plans with contractors per project specifications

  • Management of RFI/FCN/NCR processes

  • Review and consolidate turnover documentation

  • Identify and provide a path of resolution to technical issues as they arise in collaboration with engineering, applicable contractors, and other parties as required

  • Coordinate third party inspections as required

  • Support development/review of project scopes of work, cost estimates, schedules, work plans, and resource requirements

  • As a Structural/Civil Field Engineer, you will evaluate contractor change orders and provide recommendations to project management

  • Ensure all activities are being executed per project specifications, procedures, and current design documents







REQUIREMENTS:



  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience (heavy industrial, oil & gas, complex chemical plants)

  • Previous experience on $200M+ projects, preferably with experience on both -owner- and -contractor- side

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills are a must

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, and scheduling software (Microsoft Projects)

  • Proven ability to identify field issues and propose efficient solutions

  • Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goal






The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.



We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
