Job Description:

ESSENTAIL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


- 5+ years property accounting experience is required


- Experience with Yardi is required


* Applies generally accepted accounting principles, applicable federal & state guidelines and agency fiscal policies and procedures in recording financial activity in the accounting systems and subsystems.
* Reviews and analyzes documentation, general ledger accounts, entries and reports for accuracy, completeness, fiscal integrity and compliance with applicable regulations.
* Facilitates and performs accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end closes.
* Ensures financial reporting deadlines are met and that financial records are maintained in compliance with established policies and procedures.
* Performs financial statements analyses on a monthly basis and reports on variances. Researches and reconciles data discrepancies and prepares adjustments or corrections, as needed.
* Prepares monthly account reconciliations.
* Follows and monitors internal controls procedures.
* Responds to internal inquiries regarding financial transactions, results and reports.
* Performs financial audit preparation and provides technical support to internal and external auditors.
* Collaborates with the Accounting Manager and the Finance Director to support overall department goals and objectives.
* Provides leadership for different initiatives and process enhancements. Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
* Trains new and existing staff, as needed.
