Job Summary:
The Inventory Control Specialist will be an important part of the inventory control program. They will oversee the processes and procedures for the designated program and should be familiar with working with a large volume, small part inventory system. Must be able to organize large amounts of data and be able to pull key information out of the data. A continuous improvement mindset will be important in finding the right candidate for this position.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage material deliveries and storage locations.Organize current inventory products so they are easily located and identified.Ensure material deliveries match purchase orders and include required paperwork.Track material usage from inventory and accurately allocated to jobs.Track materials returned to inventory.Monitor inventory levels and notify purchasing when stock requires replenishment.Lead and assists in the monthly inventory auditing process in the shop.Perform regular cycle counts to ensure materials are being accurately tracked per company policies and proceduresOperates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methodsMaintains appropriate records and reports to guarantee inventory control and securityEnsures proper stock rotation.May perform duties as assigned by the supervisorThe above list of duties is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. Required Skills:
Ability to prioritize workflowAt least 1-year of forklift experience and/or using warehouse distribution equipmentWillingness to become forklift certified for siteAttention to detailAbility to work independently with little supervisionExcellent organizational and analytical skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to motivate othersAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to stand and work outdoors for long periods of timeFlexibility in scheduleProficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word software.Ability to learn our inventory management software.Experience with Tekla PowerFab a plus.
