Summary:

This position is responsible for the efficient production of high-quality visual assets for print and digital projects and campaigns. Deliverables include but are not limited to design and production for layout, artwork, photography, and illustration for a wide range of media. The incumbent is a team player capable of taking a project from start to finish and working closely with copywriters and other designers to fulfill project needs and uphold brand standards.

Essential Accountabilities:

Level I

• Develops on brand breakthrough creative for the entire corporation for print, PowerPoint, digital and social media. Applies visual and technical design expertise to support the execution of creative concepts.

• Designs and lays out communication materials and programs for internal and external audiences across multiple brands.

• Ensures accurate and timely completion of all projects from concepts, to mechanical, to press checks for printed materials. Actively seek and incorporate feedback on project contributions.

• Works collaboratively across a broad range of internal stakeholders to support corporate branding strategy by ensuring all projects adhere to branding guidelines and are completed on time.

• Drives continual improvement in creative quality and stays abreast on current trends, strategies and technologies.

• Assists in creating an agency-like environment that is both creative and productive.

• Responsible for the proper use of service marks with the appropriate taglines as required by the BlueCross BlueShield Association.

• Assists other departments as necessary with Creative Resources Group's related projects.

• Consistently demonstrates high standards of integrity by supporting the Lifetime Healthcare Companies' mission and values, adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct, and leading to the Lifetime Way values and beliefs.

• Maintains high regard for member privacy in accordance with the corporate privacy policies and procedures.

• Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.

• Performs other functions as assigned by management.

Level II (in addition to Level I Accountabilities)

• Handles more complex and advanced design projects.

• Ensures brand consistency while offering a fresh approach to design, artwork, digital and print output.

• Mentors, advises and trains Level I Graphic Designers. Reviews work and makes recommendations and edits.

Level III (in addition to Level II Accountabilities)

• Subject matter expert handling complex, large scope design projects.

• Mentors, advises and trains Level I/II Graphic Designers.

• Aids in the department's growth in technical and design expertise.

• Develops and maintain expertise in the latest production tools and techniques.

• Leads Level I/II Graphic Designers in 508 compliancy and advanced file functionalities.

Minimum Qualifications:

All Levels

• Six or more years of experience in a design/advertising field, or Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, graphic design or related field with a portfolio of design work for print and digital.

• Graphic design experience (internship, co-op or professional) preferred.

• Familiarity designing end-to-end creative solutions from concept to pre-production.

• Ability to effectively present and support design recommendations according to project brief.

• A willingness to contribute to creative development and brainstorming sessions.

• Comfortable working independently with a range of internal stakeholders across multiple departments.

• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.).

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, often with competing tight and demanding deadlines, in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Level II (in addition to Level I Qualifications)

• Nine or more years of experience in a design/advertising field, or Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, graphic design or related field with three or more years of graphic design experience in a corporate or agency setting.

• Thorough knowledge of mechanicals, printing capabilities and processes including paper specifications.

• Experience designing end-to-end creative solutions from concept to pre-production.

• Multimedia design including animation/motion graphics experience/knowledge and social media creation a plus.

• Strong PowerPoint skills.

• Familiarity with accessibility to digital assets for the vision impaired.

• Familiarity with 508 compliancy files and fillable form field files.

Level III (in addition to Level II Qualifications)

• Twelve or more years of experience in a design/advertising field, or Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, graphic design or related field with six or more years of graphic design experience in a corporate or agency setting.

• Multimedia design including animation/motion graphics experience/knowledge and social media creation preferred.

• Advanced knowledge and skills in 508 compliancy files.

• Advanced knowledge and skills in fillable form field files.

• Extensive experience using Adobe Creative Suite.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work prolonged periods sitting and/or standing at a workstation and working on a computer.

• Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or trainings as needed.

Compensation Range(s):

Minimum $58,500 - Maximum $81,702

The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position. Actual salary will vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, budget available, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position's minimum qualifications, in addition to internal equity. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package.
