KTP is proud to offer a Production Intern Program that gives candidates a chance to develop skills in the workforce. This is a great chance for candidates to have exposure to a fast-paced production environment and develop relationships that could help them identify their future career path. Wondering who can participate? Here are the program requirements:
Must be recommended by a KTP employee
Must be at least 16 years old
Interns may not work for or directly report to a family member
Shift and Hours: 1st shift, 7AM to 3PM, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform packing duties including palletizing, stacking, and packing cases
Assist with supplying packaging material for the line with the material handler or machine operator
Complete cleaning/sanitization of work area according to established guidelines
Maintain a safe, clean, organized production line and work area
Assist with waste removal from line and/or plant
Observe all safety and quality procedures while completing required duties
Process all required paperwork accurately and timely
Other duties as assigned by Supervision
Requirements
Must be recommended by a KTP employee
Must be at least 16 years old
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to complete daily reports and correspondences. Ability to effectively communicate to co-workers and supervisor
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractures, and decimals.
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with information
