THE OPPORTUNITY
This position is for the Critical Subsystem department in the TechInsights Manufacturing Analysis division. Critical Subsystems are the subassemblies and parts that are used in semiconductor, flat panel display, and photovoltaic equipment industries. The Associate Market Research Analyst is responsible for gathering and analyzing market data, maintaining assigned databases, and preparing presentations. Additionally, the Analyst is responsible for interacting with clients and other companies to gather data, responding to customer inquires, and communicating updated content.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Research and collect data about semiconductor, flat panel display, and photovoltaic equipment subsystems and components markets by utilizing in-house custom surveys, searching the internet, reviewing public company earnings, participating in analyst days, reading press releases, and many other sources including summits, events, and emails
Update company models with segment revenues
Analyze financial statements of companies in semiconductor, flat panel display, photovoltaic, and related industries
Update Critical Subsystem databases including equipment and subsystems
Write qualitative reports to accompany data findings from research
Collaborate with other analysts and IT to effectively manage and communicate results to customers
WHAT YOU HAVE
BS in Economics or Finance
Strong analytical, logic, and qualitative research skills
Ability to analyze the financial statements of public companies
Expertise in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Polished written and oral communication skills
Prefer experience with relational databases and basic knowledge of SQL
Prefer experience with excel macros and basic knowledge of VBA
Motivated to learn about the semiconductor/flat panel display/photovoltaic device, equipment, and subsystem industries
