This opportunity is ideal for candidates who have a HS Diploma and 6+ years of mechanic experience in a pharmaceutical or medical device setting.
The aim of this role is to offer mechanical expertise for the maintenance and repair of manufacturing and facilities equipment and systems. This supports scheduled production activities and addresses daily equipment and facilities issues. The main objective is to guarantee the availability of manufacturing systems and support utilities according to the production schedule. This involves both the physical upkeep of the systems and ensuring they remain in their documented validated state.

Compensation: $55,000 - $74,000 DOE

Responsibilities:
Guarantee the availability of production equipment and support utilities according to manufacturing demands.
Arrange and compile technical documentation essential for supporting cGMP operations.
Identify and address recurring system issues.
Participate in sourcing and obtaining suitable spare parts and materials.
Offer leadership and assistance to facility and equipment mechanics.
Aid in the validation process of new or modified support facilities.
Requirements:
Completion of high school or an equivalent qualification.
Six years of pertinent experience with facilities and/or process equipment.
Fundamental understanding of cGMP parenteral manufacturing practices and facilities.
Extensive familiarity with cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing support utilities.
Capable of working 12-hour shifts, with eligibility for overtime.
Availability to work weekends.
Competence in project management, demonstrating high self-motivation.
Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical equipment.
Exceptional skills in planning, organizing, and executing tasks.
Specific technical expertise in HVAC, autoclaves, glass wash equipment, as well as various pumps, mechanical seals, and motors.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of working with minimal supervision.
Proficient in both spoken and written English communication.
