Description:
We seek a Systems Administrator to ensure the continuous operational efficiency of network infrastructures, software systems, and related hardware, including standalone workstations and laptops. This role involves regular system maintenance, hardware and software updates, and implementing new technologies. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team providing essential support services to a high-profile customer, and they will be required to travel to customer sites for maintenance and support activities.
Responsibilities:
Ensure optimal performance of network systems, software applications, and hardware devices.
Conduct regular maintenance of network file servers to minimize downtime and disruption.
Travel to customer sites to perform preventative and routine maintenance on IT systems.
Assist in the development and deployment of new technologies to enhance or replace existing applications.
Conduct various engineering analyses and participate in the development of software, hardware, and network infrastructure.
Adhere to the customer's evolving security practices and accreditation requirements.
Manage and maintain web applications to ensure compatibility with the latest operating systems.
Design and maintain databases specific to software areas.
Develop tools for simplified software installation and remote system management.
Provide comprehensive customer support services, including problem identification, tracking, resolution, and reporting.
Implement and manage secure server practices and access configurations.
Requirements:
Experience managing systems using Mac Open Directory and deploying Mac OS 10+ and Windows-based workstations.
Proficiency with SQL databases and systems integration.
Security Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
Extensive experience providing support for large user bases, including troubleshooting, access control, and responding to user requests.
Experience troubleshooting server issues and hardware compatibility across different operating systems and versions.
Knowledge in managing license servers for software such as Adobe and Microsoft Office products across multi-user networks.
Optional Desired Skills & Experience:
Experience setting up and managing Windows Active Directory environments.
Experience managing and monitoring the performance of cloud-based applications.
