Job Description:

Medical Assistant needed in Bel Air, MD for busy practice with multiple physicians!




Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care in a clinical setting


• Take and record vital signs accurately


• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures


• Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures as directed


• Administer medications and injections under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider


• Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment


• Handle patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and managing medical records


• Follow established protocols and procedures for infection control and safety measures


• Provide support to physicians and nurses during medical procedures


• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure efficient patient care delivery

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent


• Completion of a medical assistant training program or certification preferred


• Previous experience in a clinical setting is a plus


• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures


• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment


• Strong attention to detail and accuracy


• Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed
