Job Description:

The Continuous Improvement (CIP) Engineer is responsible for learning, analyzing, and improving the engineering processes within the organization. This role is directly responsible for driving improved process efficiency by modifying, adjusting, or replacing existing processes and procedures to eliminate waste. They are responsible for implementing measurements methods that monitor performance and detect inefficiencies. The CIP engineer will work with cross functional teams to analyze and optimize the transfer of information and materials, they will work with various teams to develop software automation and communicate technical issues.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Learn Engineering processes including: Quoting, Order Creation, Design, Approvals, Change Orders, etc.
• Analyze processes for waste including redundancies and superfluous steps.
• Develop proposals for process improvements.
• Implement process improvements plans.
• Analyze existing key performance indicators (KPIs) for the department and implement improvements.
• Review and improve SOPs and Work Instructions to maintain compliance with ISO 9001.
• Coordinate with cross functional teams and stakeholders around the world.
• Train engineers on new processes / changes.
• Lead Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement.
• Communicate technical issues and feedback between engineers and automation software developers.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Manager.

NEEDED EXPERIENCE & TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:
• Experience with Solidworks CAD software
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring schematics
• Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Ability to work with little supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong work ethic and a desire for excellence.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years of industry experience.

PREFERRED SKILLS:
• Programming Experience (Python or Java preferred)
• Knowledge of basic heat transfer principles and electrical circuits.
• Experience with Ansys or other FEA software.
• Knowledge of manufacturing documentation, including wiring diagrams and schematics, and bills of materials.
