Our client, a renowned national culinary arts institution based in Austin, TX, is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Director of Admissions. This role will be instrumental in leading the admissions process and shaping the future of the institution. Our client is looking for a dynamic individual with a strong background in higher education admissions, sales, marketing and recruitment, coupled with exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
Director of Admissions Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive admissions strategies to attract and enroll qualified candidates in alignment with the institution's goals and objectives
Manage and mentor 6+ admissions staff, providing guidance, training and support to ensure their success in meeting enrollment targets
Collaboration with marketing teams to create compelling campaigns and promotional materials to attract prospective students will be a key responsibility. Utilize sales techniques to effectively communicate the value proposition of our client's programs
Organize and participate in recruitment events, including open houses, campus tours and off-site presentations, to engage with potential students and promote our client's programs
Oversee the admissions process, including the review of applications, transcripts and other relevant documents to assess candidate suitability for admission
Cultivating and maintaining relationships with prospective students, parents, guidance counselors and other stakeholders to address inquiries, provide guidance and facilitate a positive admissions experience will be essential
Analyze admissions data and trends to identify areas for improvement and inform decision-making related to recruitment strategies and enrollment goals
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and accreditation standards governing admissions processes and practices is a crucial aspect of the role
Director of Admissions Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience overseeing admissions in the higher education space
A proven track record of success in sales, marketing and recruitment is necessary
Strong leadership and people management skills are essential
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are required
Ability to work on-site 5 days per week in Austin, TX
