Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Hardware Test Engineer to join our dynamic team in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. This position is an on-site role. The ideal candidate will have 0 to 5 years of experience and a strong foundation in electronics and testing principles. As a Hardware Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through rigorous testing methodologies.

Responsibilities for a Hardware Test Engineer:
  • Develop and execute test plans and procedures for hardware components and systems, ensuring thorough coverage of all functionalities and requirements.
  • Conduct hands-on testing of electronic assemblies, subsystems, and instruments according to established protocols.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware issues, working closely with design engineers to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Utilize test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers to perform accurate measurements and validations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D and manufacturing, to drive continuous improvement and optimize testing processes.
  • Document test results, observations, and findings in clear and concise reports, maintaining accurate records for future reference.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in hardware testing, and contribute innovative ideas to enhance product performance and reliability.

Qualifications & Skill for a Hardware Test Engineer:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 0 to 5 years of experience in hardware testing, preferably in a scientific instrumentation or similar industry.
  • Strong understanding of electronics principles and circuit analysis.
  • Proficiency in using test equipment and tools for hardware validation and characterization.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with the Atlassian tool suite (JIRA, Confluence, XRAY) is a plus.
  • Required to work on-site in our Woonsocket, RI office 5 days a week.
