Job Description:

As a Manufacturing Engineering Technology Professional at Schaefer Brush, you will play a key role in enhancing our manufacturing processes, optimizing efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of product quality. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, leverage your technical expertise, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our production operations.

Responsibilities:

Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements in manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and elevate product quality.

Equipment and Tooling Design: Contribute to the design and development of tools, fixtures, and equipment, ensuring they meet safety, efficiency, and quality standards.

Automation and Robotics: Explore opportunities for automation and robotics integration to streamline manufacturing processes and improve overall efficiency.

Materials Management: Work with engineering and supply chain professionals to optimize material selection and procurement, considering factors such as cost, availability, and impact on manufacturing processes.

3D Modeling Software: Apply your expertise in 3D modeling software, such as SolidWorks, Inventor 3D, to support the design and development of manufacturing tools, fixtures, new products, and equipment.

New Product Development Support: Take responsibility for quoting and supporting the development of new products, working closely with design teams to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.

Quality Assurance: Develop and implement robust quality control measures, including testing procedures, to ensure that our products consistently meet industry standards and customer expectations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, design, and quality assurance, to address challenges and ensure seamless coordination.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology or a related field.

Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, process optimization, and quality assurance.

Strong knowledge of automation, robotics, and materials management.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards.
