Brief Description of Work:

Under minimal supervision of the VP - Automation & Innovation or other assigned administrator, manage one or more specific projects within the authority; oversee the planning, implementation, review, deliverables, and closure; document all aspects, working closely with teams and management to ensure the scope specific project direction is appropriate and complies with the policies, procedures, missions and goals. Performs highly responsible, complex, and varied professional administrative and analytical work in the development, implementation, and administration of programs, projects, or policies. Work cross-functionally and communicate to all parties involved in a project. Create presentations and reports to communicate project status. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects.

Essential Functions:
  • Develops, implements, and monitors short and long-term projects, plans, goals and objectives focused on achieving the authority's mission, strategic plan, and Board priorities.
  • Provides direction to and manages the work of consultants and project team to insure quality products or services are delivered on schedule and within budget.
  • Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with representatives of the community, government agencies and public officials, customers, public interest groups.
  • Conducts special studies involving research and analysis of complex and sensitive information; develops recommendations and alternative solutions and implements initiatives.
  • Manage one or more special projects awarded to the authority; conduct research; review, evaluate and analyze statistical data, proposals and administrative reports; prepare summaries, narrative analyses and recommendations. Facilitate, coordinate and fulfill project challenges.
  • Provide technical expertise, assistance, information, and advice as appropriate to project administrators, project teams and team members; update technical knowledge.
  • Coordinate and ensure mandates and other requirements are prepared and disseminated as warranted; distribute project deliverables on time, within budget and at the required level of quality; evaluate project outcomes as established in the project plan.
  • Monitors project progress, drafting and distributing periodic progress reports for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Manage the strategic planning and public outreach initiatives for Automation & Innovation.
  • Manage redesign and ongoing content updates for departmental project websites, improving site navigation, aesthetics, and content to enhance user experience and align with JTA brand standards.
