Job Description:

Duties include participating in Multi-Disciplinary Evaluations, providing individual and group therapy services using the STAR PROCESS treatment method, documenting progress in treatment notes, education, and coaching, communicating directly with physicians and other external health care providers, and other duties as appropriate. Must love to learn and want to be on the cutting edge of research and practice in the sensory integrative process. Extensive mentorship and supervision are provided.

The SLP will work closely with the Executive Director to ensure therapy team services are effective and well-coordinated, oversee caseloads within the team, and ensure current evidence-based practice and outcome measures are embedded in practice of all clinicians. All OTs and SLPs work closely with the mental health team to support individuals and families in crisis and with high support needs.

Applicants must have at least five years post registration experience, considerable AAC experience; training in Rapid Prompting Method or Spelling 2 Communicate; and/or Natural Language Acquisition; must have advanced specialist clinical expertise in assessment, treatment and documentation of therapeutic supports for neurodivergent populations. Must be comfortable working in a neurodivergent affirming setting. Training in SCERTS, iLS, Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics, Trust Based Relational Intervention, Circle of Security, also a plus. Experience with team building skills and collaborative style are crucial to success.
