Learning and Development Specialist

The Learning & Development Specialist will direct, design, and facilitate training programs in alignment with CSI's goals and objectives; utilize adult learning principals and blended learning concepts to create optimum learning environments that reinforce principles and assure skill enhancement; collaborate with key stakeholders to conduct needs assessments to guide training curriculum and program objectives; evaluate and measure training effectiveness and develop credibility and trust with participants and program stakeholders. The Learning & Development Specialist will be the administrator of the LMS, potential to create interactive e-learning programs and craft learning paths for self-development. This role will be required to stay abreast of the latest technology and training best practices to keep training relevant and fresh.Be a part of our award-winning corporate culture by joining the CSI Team in this exciting role!

Responsibilities:

Designs and develops training programs through the most effective use of learning and development methodologies to maximize learner experience and learning outcomes.

Develops dynamic and engaging e-learning programs using e-authoring tools (such as Camtasia or Storyline). Maintains content integrity and re-versions when necessary.

Utilizing blended learning concepts, creates training materials, guides, activities, assessments, role-play scenarios, learning games, and job aids to optimize learning objectives.

Applies adult learning principles to training program design and facilitation.

Creates and maintains training instructor guides, user guides, and QRGs.

Facilitates in-person and virtual training classes, leads and manages class discussions in tempo and pace that keep learners actively engaged, topics may include Systems Training, Upskilling, and Employee Tools Training.

Conducts needs assessments through collaboration with division leaders to identify short- and long-term success factors and establish course objectives.

Regularly evaluates updates to training content, adjusting where necessary to keep current and relevant.

Measures training effectiveness through participant reaction, learning assessment, behavior application, and assessment of learning objectives against program results.

Coordinates the scheduling of training programs for applicable audiences and arranges SME/guest speakers as applicable.

Sources and partners with third-party training vendors as requested.

Fosters relationships and builds credibility and trust with key stakeholders and training participants.

Administrator of LMS platform, creates and recommends learning paths, troubleshoots user issues, and ensures all training content is added timely.

Assigns compliance training in accordance with CSI's policy and regulatory requirements; manages users, training completion, and coordinates with payroll.

Maintains a compliance training content tracker to ensure all programming is up-to-date and within legal compliance of the state governances.

Stays abreast of the latest training technology and best practices through referencing trade journals, attending conferences, and participating in educational seminars/webinars.

Acts as a change agent and is receptive to feedback.

Additional Skills that May Be Required:

Knowledgeable in and applies Kirkpatrick's four levels of training measurement.

Knowledgeable in the staffing industry, recruiting and sourcing trends.

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Applicant Tracking System knowledge preferred (Bullhorn a plus).

Qualifications:

BS or MA degree in instructional design, educational technology or similar.

1-2 years of experience working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology.

1-2 years proficiency in Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, and Snagit.

Highly preferred experience with a Learning Management System (LMS).

Strong attention to detail in both content development and quality assurance.

Able to manage multiple competing priorities, organize work, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrates a strong work ethic and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
