AmeriQual Foods is seeking a motivated, reliable individual to act as a Senior Buyer in our Procurement department. This position is responsible for the procurement and management of raw materials and packaging for the specific business areas, including processing purchase orders and expediting and tracking POs for an on time delivery for the scheduled production.
Duties and responsibilities
Creates, reviews, tracks, and maintains purchase orders until completion while communicating shortages or issues and providing visibility of potential interruptions
Proficiently use the ERP system to order and produce reports, maintaining desired level of inventory by researching aged and excess materials
Professionally interact with customers regarding purchasing activities
Act as liaison between customer/suppliers/internal departments
Coordinate freight for purchase orders as needed
Identify opportunities and implement actions to achieve efficiencies
Perform other duties as directed
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
Purchasing experience, preferably in manufacturing environment
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Proficient computer skills, specifically MS Office and experience with ERP system or purchasing/inventory software
Outstanding analytical and statistical technical skills
Must exhibit strong degree of professionalism and excellent communication skills
Highly organized and process oriented with an ability to multitask and excel in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, anticipate changing project needs, and meet deadlines.

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.
