Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development, coordination, and management of the master schedule for their projects, reporting all variances, risks, and potential mitigation strategies to the principle, ensuring that all critical dates and durations associated with the project are identified.
Responsibilities:
Overseeing the development, coordination, and management of the master schedule for projects.
Delegating projects, monitoring workflow, and enforcing goals, policies, and procedures.
Ensuring the team has the necessary tools, training, and resources for effective work.
Addressing conflicts and problems that arise on a daily basis.
Conducting regular meetings with Project Managers regarding project progress and team efficiency.
Managing multiple projects and schedules simultaneously.
Interacts with senior management team on a regular basis for status of project updates and budgets.
Qualifications:
PMP certification is required.
Bachelor's or master's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
7 or more years of project management experience
3 or more years in a leadership role within the marine shipping and transportation industry or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and manage projects across various departments.
Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a talent for negotiating and resolving conflicts.
Proficient in project management software
Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
