Reports to

Dr. Jane Foley, Senior Vice President, Milken Educator Awards and Director, Milken Scholars

Job Responsibilities
• Support Senior Vice President and Milken Educator Awards and Milken Scholars departments with all programmatic elements and cycles.
• Key responsibilities for database entry, updates, reports, maintenance for Milken Educator Awards.
• Key responsibilities for accounting, to process invoices for Milken Educator Awards (MEA), create and track budgets for events and program cycles for MEA.
• Contributing member of internal teams reviewing candidates for the Milken Educator Award and Milken Scholars.
• Manage phone inquiries and communication.
• Proof and prepare correspondence and mailings.
• Session support for all events.
• Research information, as requested.
• Maintain files and work room.
• Occasional travel to off-site program events.
• Other roles and duties as determined by supervisor.

Skills and Qualifications
• Education: Bachelors required
• Experience: At least three years full-time work experience in office or related setting
• Special skills required

Ø Superior organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and complete a variety of tasks, work efficiently and calmly under pressure and deadlines, manipulate a constant flow of multiple tasks

Ø Advanced technology skills including database, word processing, spreadsheet, web searches and updates

Ø Strong mathematical skills, thorough understanding of managing budgets

Ø Polished verbal and written communication skills

Ø Team spirit, flexibility, reliable, quick learner, self-starter, energetic, motivated, strong work ethic, attention to detail, maintains confidentiality, initiative, positive attitude, follow-through

Ø Ability to both collaborate with a close-knit team dedicated to the goals of the programs and work independently with minimum supervision

Ø Background or interest in education desirable
