Purpose
Roseburg is seeking a passionate, articulate, and experienced professional to lead our growing sustainability program This dynamic position will engage in a wide range of established and growing programs and will work closely with our Government Affairs team.
Key Responsibilities
In conjunction with the Government Affairs team, provide a leading voice within associations and committees and manage policy engagement on Carbon and other Sustainability issues.
Monitor and anticipate related legislative and regulatory policies of local, state, and federal governments that may impact the company.
Create an annual Corporate Sustainability Report for the Board of Directors.
Conduct ESG reporting by gathering and tracking company data and developing reports as needed to meet customer requirements.
Maintain company Carbon database including Scopes 1, 2, and 3.
Work closely with our Commercial and Operations teams to revise and maintain product EPD's, LCA's, and other declarations.
Work across the company to identify opportunities for potential improvements in energy efficiency and emissions reductions.
Communicate policy updates, implications, and strategies internally to key personnel.
Maintain and promote a positive image of Roseburg.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience in natural resource sustainability issues or related field; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position
Understanding of natural resource businesses and experience in related field
Passion for elevating and communicating the positive role that wood products manufacturing has on global sustainability
Expert and trusted advisor of sustainability issues
Proven abilities to build relationships and influence others (up, down, peers; internal and external)
Strong strategic analysis and complex problem-solving skills
Excellent listening, writing, and verbal communications skills
Self-directed, able to meet deadlines, and work independently
