We are seeking a Buyer to join our Global Sourcing & Procurement Team to support our US manufacturing, lab and office facilities, working from our plant in Waynesboro, Virginia.
Reporting to our Americas Procurement Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Purchase of raw materials, packaging, indirect material and services as required by manufacturing facility, lab and business stakeholders.
Reliably execute all required Purchase to Pay transaction processes in SAP.
Utilize SAP Ariba functionally, including sourcing, commerce automation, e-catalogues, and contract management.
Lead competitive source selection processes, including RFI, RFQ, RFP and auctions. Also, qualify vendors and evaluate vendor bids.
Manage supplier relationships including negotiating commercial terms and overseeing delivery and quality performance.
Partner with Accounts Payable, vendors and internal resources to resolve invoice payment issues.
Utilize SAP reporting tools to analyze purchasing data and identify savings and risk mitigation opportunities.
Develop and manage indirect material and services commodity strategies, ensuring reliable sources of supply, competitive pricing and ongoing supplier innovation.
Ensure purchasing practices are fully aligned with our company's polices, internal financial controls and compliance requirements.
Provide training and ongoing support to those interacting with the purchasing process (e.g., requisitioners and approvers, vender change requestors, and scope of work providers).
Education, Experience, and Skills:
Preferred Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Procurement or related fields.
Proficient in computer applications including SAP, MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong analytical, organizational, communication, negotiation and problem solving skills.
Experience with SAP Purchase to Pay and SAP Ariba functionality (preferred).
