Flowtec is looking for a Buyer to come join our clients Nuclear Team. Buyer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, logistics and on time delivery of raw materials, finished goods, MRO material, services, and related materials in support of production and inventory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate and execute all material requirement plans and be responsible for performance of your assigned suppliers and commodity KPIs
Track material status, maintain data integrity and delivery dates for assigned work, and align forecasts with Production Planning in preparation for production.
Maintain dependable forecasts of all open purchase orders, considering latest information provided by the supplier, logistics estimates, and other factors
Review proposals, negotiate prices, develop and maintain best value sourcing and supply base, considering quality, delivery, and cost
Update and maintain planning parameters within our MRP system for your assigned suppliers and commodities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 6 years Purchasing, Procurement, Materials Management or Supply Chain experience
Applied experience using ERP systems
Excellent communication, interpersonal and computer skills
Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, dashboard development, vlookups, etc.)
Experience or familiarity with ASTM, or ASME related products
