Major Giving Officer | Luminis Health

  • Manage a dynamic portfolio of prospects with the potential for major gifts.
  • Collaborate with a passionate team to support hospice, palliative care, and the LifeCare Institute.
  • Engage with high-level volunteers and cultivate donor relationships.
  • Contribute to various fundraising campaigns and initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage a Major Gifts portfolio for the Foundation.
  • Set annual goals for Major Gifts in collaboration with the Foundation, Board members, and volunteers.
  • Establish and manage a Philanthropy Council to assist in securing major gifts.
  • Manage a portfolio of clinicians to secure major gifts through the Clinician Engagement Program.
  • Initiate cultivation and solicitation strategies and assist with major donor requests.
  • Identify major gift prospects for annual, capital, and special gift programs.
  • Work with other Foundation staff to develop comprehensive "moves management" plans.
  • Collaborate with key AAHS personnel, physicians, and leaders to identify major donor prospects and understand organizational needs.
  • Assist with cultivation and recognition events.
  • Participate in professional networks to stay updated on laws and techniques.
  • Function as a key member of the development team and provide additional support as needed to achieve the Foundation's mission and goals.

Professional/Technical Competencies:
  • Fundraising Knowledge: Demonstrated expertise in major gift fundraising strategies.
  • Marketing: Understanding of marketing principles in fundraising.
  • Ethical Practices: Adherence to donor-related regulations and high ethical standards.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of progressive fundraising experience.
  • Experience in prospect research/identification and proposal writing preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented.
  • Proficiency in personal computer skills and experience with contact management and Excel databases, with Raiser's Edge experience preferred.
