Our client, YKK-AP, a global leading company in the building and construction industry, is seeking a Total Rewards Manager to join the company's HR Team at their North-American headquarters in downtown Atlanta. (this is an onsite position!)

The company is known for high-profile projects such as its work on the 9/11 memorial site in New York City, as well as its products for the commercial and residential building market.

As the Total Rewards Manager you will lead the Benefits, Compensation & Payroll functions to support the US and Canadian business units. This role directly supervises day-to-day benefit and payroll administration.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of 2 reports.
  • Create, implement, and oversee adaptable and scalable compensation and benefits policies/programs.
  • Contribute to creating and implementing a differentiated employee experience strategy that touches all points of the employee lifecycle in collaboration with the full HR function and leadership.
  • Help establish quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards to measure efficiency and effectiveness that can be evaluated; identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Create a compensation strategy that includes accurate job titles, job descriptions, job families, job grades, salary ranges (updated annually), external benchmarks, etc. and aligns on expectations and compensation/benefit packages.
  • Create and maintain appropriate salary ranges for all US & Canada positions; ensure set up and maintenance salary structure.
  • Create and educate leaders on base compensation structure, include pay grades, bands, scales, and mixes of all salaried structures.
  • Investigates and recommends resolution on classification questions and Fair Labor Standard Act (FLSA) exemptions.
  • Administer our compensation programs. Market price roles and audit pay practices to ensure alignment with internal protocols as well as Federal, State and Local laws.
  • Partner with other areas of the business when they need Total Reward's input or assist them in their support of the organization.
  • Oversee and administer YKK AP's benefit and compensation programs including, but not limited to, medical, dental, disability, pre-tax accounts, 401(k), variable pay compensation. Plans may be self-funded and/or fully-insured.
  • Collaborate with 3rd party vendors, to study and provide strategic directions to employee retirement plans and various benefits programs
  • Recommend new and/or improved employee benefit plans and cost-savings measures.
  • Manage annual benefits renewal and open enrollment activities including creating communications, educational tools and leading meetings.
  • Manage HRIS set up for benefits and compensation related processes and offerings, including conducting periodic audits.
  • Oversees FMLA and disability administration; play a key role with local HR partners in the education and coordination of leaves.
  • Maintain compliance with company, federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; periodically review policies and practices to maintain compliance. This includes distributing required notices as needed.
  • Oversee the annual creation and processing of ACA compliance items such as the 1095c forms at year-end
  • Provides excellent service by accurately responding to employee and management inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Demonstrate continuous efforts to improve operations, streamline work processes and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality team member support.
  • Support the broader HR team.
  • Complete ongoing reporting requests as needed.

What We Expect from You

Your experience & education
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Preferred certifications: SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), CP, Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Compensation Management Specialist (CMS) certifications.
  • 10+ years of progressive compensation and benefits design with full scope benefits administration including health, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, life, and disability plans.
  • 5+ years of payroll processing/oversight experience, required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing company at the corporate level with knowledge of production plants.
  • Strong working knowledge of benefit laws and government regulations including, ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, COBRA and ACA.
  • Experience in self-insured and fully insured benefits plans.
  • Experience working with 401(k) and deferred compensation plans.
  • Exceptional knowledge of Excel and working knowledge of other MS office platforms.

Skills, Traits & Style
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office suite and knowledge of HRIS system (UKG/SuccessFactors), required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution abilities, and time management skills; ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working in an international work environment.
  • A hands-on, open-minded, versatile, enthusiastic can-do attitude while embracing continuous learning.
