We are seeking a highly motivated and talented scientist with background in cellular and molecular biology and assay development to join the Company's Biotherapeutics and Genetic Medicine organization to support in vitro pharmacology work related to Genetic medicine research on AAV.
Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will execute hands on scientific research focused on characterization of recombinant AAVs and the expression on transgenes in various biological assays.
The individual will have experience in developing and optimizing broad and versatile biochemical and molecular biology assays (such as ELISA, WES, PCR).
The individual will perform functional assays to generate data and help our understanding of drug properties.
The individual will summarize and graph experimental data from experiments, keep accurate electronic records of activities, and timely report experimental results.
The ideal candidate should be a team player, self-motivated, well organized and attention to details.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, or other relevant biological sciences with at least 1 years' experience or Bachelor's Degree with at least 3 years of experience.
Experience with Ligand Binding Assays (LBA)
Experience with MSD/Methodical Mind software
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in cell biology and biochemical assays such as cell culture, ELISA and Western-blot.
Experience with viral handling techniques is highly desirable.
Ability to work independently on assigned research tasks, anticipate problems and propose potential solutions
