Role Description
The goal of Damascus Marketing is to capture and reveal the heart of the gospel at Damascus. The Advancement Media Liaison plays a vital role in creating and managing a variety of Advancement Deliverables, including graphics, videos, emails, and web content, ensuring each piece effectively communicates the organization's message and values. This role is responsible for crafting compelling event and platform promotional calls-to-action (CTAs), designed to engage and motivate the target audience. A key part of their role involves Storytelling, where they utilize narrative techniques to connect with audiences and convey the impact of the organization's work. The Liaison works in Cross-Departmental Collaboration, ensuring a cohesive approach to media strategies and content creation, while also managing the Advancement Database/CRM to track engagement and optimize future outreach efforts. This role is pivotal in seamlessly integrating media communications within the broader organizational strategy.
Recommended Qualifications
3+ years of relevant experience
Undergraduate degree preferred
Strong competency with the adobe suite and at least one of the following: Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom
Creativity, communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail
Portfolio
Development Experience. Understanding of fundraising strategies and experience in developing communications that support fundraising goals.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including events or campaigns aimed at raising awareness and funds.
Excellent written and verbal communication.Ability to craft clear, persuasive, and engaging content for a variety of audiences and platforms.
Interpersonal skills. Strong capabilities in building and maintaining relationships with media representatives, donors, and internal stakeholders.
Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with others

Compensation
For this role, we anticipate paying $30,000 - $50,000/year. This range is an estimate. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the provided range and will be adjusted based on various factors including qualifications, experience, abilities, geographic location, and duties.
Mission Support Raising (MSR) is one way in which Damascus invites others to be on mission with us through the gift of their financial support. In this position, the Marketing department personnel will be expected to fundraise a minimum of $1,500 per month to support their work with Damascus. Each Damascus employee receives 100% of the funds raised. To thrive in serving the mission, the candidate will receive world-class training in this area and ample time to engage in their fundraising efforts.
