Energy End Use Survey Specialist - Energy Assessments Division

California Energy Commission (CEC) is hiring an Energy End Use Survey Specialist in the Data Collection & Analysis Unit of the Energy Assessments Division (EAD). This exciting role within the Data Integration Branch will serve as a subject matter expert for collecting information about equipment energy use in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings and dedicated technology that generates, or stores energy used by these buildings.
The Energy Assessments Division (EAD) is responsible for a diverse set of data-analysis-related work products such as demand forecasts of electricity and natural gas, transportation, and policy analysis for data intensive legislations including Assembly Bill 802 and Senate Bill 350. EAD relies on a broad variety of methodologies (econometric, engineering, statistical, end-use models, etc.) and data sets (economic, demographic, GIS, etc.) in preparing these products.

Desirable Qualifications:
Project management experience, including creating project plans and schedules, prioritizing deliverables, and meeting deadlines.
Experience collecting data and conducting analysis on large datasets.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to effectively write, review, and edit technical program information.
Ability to gather, compile, analyze, interpret, and communicate written and numerical research data to a diverse audience.
Database management, spreadsheets, models, and data visualizations.
Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word software programs.
Familiarity with database management and data analytic tools.
