Aerovel is seeking an experienced Program Manager to join our team on-site in Bingen, WA developing and manufacturing the next generation of long-range robotic aircraft. Aerovel is led by the aeronautical veterans who invented and developed the Group 2 small tactical unmanned aerial system (STUAS), a backbone of US military and allied intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance (ISTAR) missions worldwide. The Group 2 UAS systems have contributed significantly to the effectiveness of US and allied troops as well as their safety and security. Aerovel Flexrotor is the most advanced STUAS with vertical take-off and landing (VTOL). It is designed for the demanding reliability and specifications required by the US Department of Defense (DOD) while being affordable for commercial applications.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Manages a portfolio of Flexrotor programs to ensure cost, schedule, performance, and overall customer satisfaction
Ensures program requirements, purpose, objectives, and expectations are communicated and flowed to internal team and stakeholders
Works closely with support functions to ensure that contractual, finance, compliance and any other requirements for program execution are satisfied
Builds new business opportunities with current and future customers to grow Flexrotor programs and shape technical solutions that meet customer needs
Manages planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination across multiple projects and programs
Understands program risks and plays an active role in mitigation
Leads proposal and pricing activities in response to customer requests
Provides strong leadership across the company as the customer representative and a key decision maker
Creates and implements customer roadmaps to build on existing programs, capabilities, and customer relationships to grow the business
Develops and maintains strong relationships with customers; serves as the senior interface to customers at all levels
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and 10 or more years' relevant experience in program management, engineering, or business
Experience in UAS industry to include land and maritime operational leadership, customer interaction, contract management, and budget execution
Management experience with products and/or technologies for U.S. Government, international, and/or commercial customers
Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Experience managing multiple cross-functional stakeholders both internal and external to the organization
Experience with U.S. Government contracting requirements, including fixed price and cost-plus contracts
Ability to obtain and maintain a Government security clearance; active DoD security clearance preferred
Excellent analytical and presentation skills
Experience with proposal development and negotiations
