Job Description:

Position Overview

The production specialist is proficient in multimedia content development, utilizing video production and post-production knowledge and skills. This role involves various tasks such as storyboarding, directing, producing, graphic design, as well as capturing and editing audio, and video content. The production specialist will work on both multi- and single-camera shoots, spanning across studio, virtual, or on-location environments, to produce high-quality videos and online training materials. Additionally, this role includes providing remote support to customers via the learning management system, addressing content-related support tickets by conducting research, isolating issues, escalating where necessary, resolving problems, and documenting the process.

Essential Functions:

Training Design and Development:
  • Collaborate with instructional design team, subject matter expert(s), and other stakeholders to design and develop cutting-edge learning solutions
  • Create engaging instructional and how-to videos for our external learning audience, as well as videos for HR, Marketing, and other internal departments.

Content Management and Collaboration:
  • Manage and maintain digital assets, including video and audio files, images, and other production-related items.
  • Work collaboratively with IT and external vendors to ensure our production environment is operating optimally with the necessary tools and equipment.
  • Produces content that meets quality standards and deadlines.
  • Guides and prepares instructors for virtual, in-studio, and on-location shoots effectively for optimal performance.

Technical Skills
  • Showcase an understanding of graphic and video design concepts using Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, PowerPoint, Premiere, Audition, After Effects, and Photoshop.
  • Thrive in a creatively collaborative environment, maintaining a positive attitude while contributing to a culture of innovation.
  • Edit, author, quality control and publish content and courseware to learning management system, web or other delivery platforms.
  • Serve as a customer service desk contact responsible for researching, isolating, escalating, resolving, and documenting customer issues.
  • Maintain studio, video/audio production equipment and supplies in a state of operational readiness and peak performance and recommend studio equipment enhancements.
  • Maintains studio, control room, and equipment for optimal performance and recommends updates to meet current needs.
  • Stay current on developments and trends in multimedia production, online training, and the public and affordable housing industry.
  • Assists in developing, implementing, and maintaining production processes and procedures.
  • Resolves and documents customer service requests in a timely manner.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Audio and video production in-studio, virtual, and on-location, audio and video editing, color correction, keying backgrounds, post-production, and multimedia production.
  • Desktop video production tools, video production equipment, video production techniques, interactive courseware development tools and be computer literate within a Windows environment.
  • Proficiency authoring and rapid online training development tools.
  • Proficiency in operation and utilization of audio/video equipment including cameras, lighting, microphones, switchers, audio boards and recording/capturing devices.
  • Communicate effectively with a variety of audiences.
  • Learn and quickly assimilate new technology into regular use.
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to apply systems knowledge to troubleshoot and analyze new issues.
  • Creating engaging and audience appropriate audio/video content courseware and multimedia.
  • Understanding concepts and presenting them in a concrete visual manner.
  • Make customers, vendors, and instructors/talent feel comfortable with technology or processes that are new
  • and/or intimidating to them.

Job Requirements
  • Degree in Media Design/Development, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, or a similar discipline; Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in multimedia content development.
  • Some experience utilizing Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, PowerPoint, Premiere, Audition, After Effects, and Photoshop.
  • Experience shooting and editing videos, production, and direction of live or live to tape productions and multimedia production.
  • Solid communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Perform effectively in stressful or crisis situations.
  • Handle several tasks simultaneously, maintain exceptional attention to detail, and meet established deadlines.
  • Familiarity with a range of e-learning authoring tools, including Articulate 360, Rise, and Storyboard.
