Compensation:
  • In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Role Summary:

The FFA Social Worker will be responsible for the provisions of case management of assigned youth and will develop, review, and complement treatment plans with placement workers, foster parents, and children. The FFA Social Worker will also meet with children and foster parents (at least 3x/monthly), monitor visits between foster children and relatives, inspect foster homes for compliance on a monthly basis, and maintains case records for children on caseload.

  • Develop, review, update and complement treatment plans in coordination with placement workers, foster parents and children.
  • Meet with children and foster parents at least three times per month.
  • Assist and support parents in meeting the needs of children in their care.
  • Monitor visits between foster children and relatives.
  • Inspects foster homes for compliance with regulations once per month.
  • Assists with foster parent training process.
  • Complete home studies as needed.
  • Communicate and develop working relationships with outside workers and agencies for casework purposes.
  • Consult with Program Assistant on placements and participates in late intakes.
  • Maintain case records for children on caseload.
  • Audit and maintain foster parent and children files.
  • Prepare quarterly reports and termination summaries.
  • Gather information on reports and documents special incidents and submit SIR's within 24hrs.
  • Provide transportation for foster children when needed.
  • Is available for emergencies and calls after hours and on weekends.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum two years related experience
  • Spanish speaking required.
  • Valid CA Driver License with a minimum of two (2) years good driving history and must be approved by the agency's insurance carrier to drive agency vehicles.
  • Willingness and ability to make frequent field visits, attend meetings, conferences and other job related events away from headquarters. If driving a personal vehicle, must be approved by our agency's automobile insurance carrier.
