The person in this role will follow a remote work schedule or hybrid model splitting the week between remote/home and the Medtronic facility located in Mounds View, Minnesota.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
• Partner and collaborate with IT, Functional Leaders, and Stakeholders to identify key solutions being delivered in the SAP BW ecosystem requiring migration to Snowflake or other existing technologies.
• Defines, describes, diagrams, and documents existing solutions on SAP BW to enable Business and IT Leaders to understand what the solution does and how it is architected.
• Defines, describes, diagrams, and documents future state architecture of SAP solutions to be migrated to Snowflake.
• Promotes, guides, and governs good architectural practice through the application of well-defined, proven technology and human interaction patterns and through architecture mentorship.
• Supports the full lifecycle management of the entire IT portfolio including the selection, appropriate usage, enhancement a replacement of information technology applications, infrastructure, and services.
• Collaborate with DPAS Architecture to identify the architecture and technologies required to implement D&A and Advanced Analytics capabilities for various functions.
• Lead the identification and implementation of architecture and technologies to meet the expectations of stakeholders and IT Partners.
• Socialization and communication of organizational strategies and status of execution.

MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree

• 10+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree or 8+ years of experience with an advanced degree

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications)

• Strongly Preferred:

o Previous Medtronic experience

o Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline

o 10+ years demonstrable hands-on experience in application development, data warehouse and analytics solution architecture & delivery, and operations management with SAP BW.

o Expert level technical skills in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Data Platforms, Data Pipelines, and Integration Tools with SAP BW

• Expert level technical skills in SAP HANA, SAP BW, Oracle, Hadoop, Informatica, and IRS.

• Strong Unix/Linux skills, including shell scripting

• 5+ years of architectural leadership experience including IT strategies, planning, change management, and stakeholder management

• Thought leader who can see the big picture and is endlessly curious and a natural problem solver. Ability to serve as the technical leader and mentor to a group of internal and external technical SME's

• Extensive Agile development experience

• Ability to thrive and lead in an ever changing and sometimes ambiguous environment

• Self-driven, independent, and strong leader who can deliver extraordinary outcomes from global teams comprising of internal employees, product vendors and third-party service providers

• Strong Business Relationship Management, Vendor Management, Negotiation, written and verbal communication skills

The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
