Job Description:

The Director Master Data will lead MDM change initiatives, partner with stakeholders of all levels to develop a governance strategy, and ensure accuracy and consistency of master data across systems, processes and divisions. Excellent influence and leadership skills, data management background, and effective communication with stakeholders are required for success in this role.

Responsibilities:


  • Advocate for the importance of master data management and lead change management initiatives related to MDM through influencing key stakeholders at all levels.

  • Need to establish strategic alignment with all key stakeholders and develop/maintain Medline's master data governance strategy for Vendor, Customer, Product and Financial data.

  • Establish and implement the MDM vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with the business goals and objectives for all of Medline. This role will be responsible for the total company strategy and alignment of our MDM across all functions.

  • Create and oversee data governance policies, procedures and standards for master data creation and maintenance to ensure quality and integrity of the master data.

  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to understand and capture data requirements, ensuring master data meets user and system needs.
    Partner with a team of data domain governance leads managing Customer, Vendor, Finance and Product data domains with a cross functional

  • Medline wide center of excellence committee.

  • Oversee the development of training materials and training to business users about MDM processes, tools, and standards.

  • Regularly assess the MDM processes, tools, and policies and recommend improvements.

  • Ensure that master data management processes are compliant with relevant regulations and that data is securely handled.

  • Collaborate with IS and other departments to ensure the master data is integrated in various systems and reports and used in a standard way

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, engineering, science, or computer science or other data related field

    • 7-10 years of relevant experience, related to data management or data governance with a demonstrated track record in implementing MDM tools and initiatives.
    • Ability to influence key stakeholders to follow a standard governance process.
    • Ability to design, implement, and maintain data models that can scale and accommodate a variety of data types.

      • Ability to identify, rectify, and prevent data quality issues.
      • Knowledge of techniques to integrate data from various sources and ensure a single version of truth.
      • Ability to analyze complex data sets and derive insights.
      • Grasp of organizational business processes to understand how data flows and how it can be optimized.
      • Experience in leading cross-functional projects and managing timelines, resources, and stakeholders.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical topics for a non-technical audience.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA
  • Experience with MDM solutions such as Informatica
  • Certification(s) in Master Data Management or Data Governance.
