Human Resources Generalist II:
Under the supervision and guidance of the Manager Human Resources, provides support to Employees and Managers in:
Employee Relations
Complaint Investigation and Resolution
General Human Resources Operations
New Hire Benefits Orientation

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Duties:
Human resources (HR) generalists:
Day-to-day operational human resources tasks.
Keeps a positive working environment for teammates and internal clients.
Acts as a liaison between employees and management.
Provides guidance to employees and management regarding company policies, practices and regulations.
Processes, verifies and maintains documents relating to any human resources activities
Maintains all legal documentation; i.e., I9s, personnel records, medical records, etc.
Guides managers in employee relations.
Acts as liaison between employee and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices and regulations.
Supports the maintenance of all electronic records such as HCMS, SharePoint, etc.
Assists with benefit open enrollment
Other Duties:
Works on special projects assigned by Manager, Human Resources
Supports Recruiting with scheduling interviews and assigning online testing to candidates
Assists when needed with onboarding of new hires
SECURITY AND PRIVACY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Individuals working for DSS will be subject to security and privacy requirements as explained in HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53. Additionally, they are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the day-to-day performance of their duties. Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in the high risk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access. Individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline will require further training.

Exhibits exceptional communication skills both written and oral
Has verifiable experience with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer)
Utilizes persuasion and patience to deal with irate internal clients.
Presents solutions to internal clients to address the circumstance while maintaining control of the situation and striving for the ultimate outcome.
Has intimate knowledge with DSS policies and procedures and uses them in the everyday administration of duties
Displays professionalism in all aspects of the position
Brings organizational skills to bear in both the personal workspace, the department workspace and the electronic workspace
