Job Description:

SUMMARY
This position is accountable for the revenue accounting operations of the company. The Revenue lead will supervise, monitor and evaluate all day-to-day revenue accounting activities in order to maximize cash flow while maintaining and improving internal and external customer relationships. In conjunction with staff, the revenue lead will contribute to the day-to-day operations on all issues related to the revenue cycle function, provide analysis, create written processes, and train others in implementing a cross functional revenue cycle team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans, directs and coordinates all revenue accounting operational functions; including the oversight of accounts receivable, cash, trade promotions, deductions and general accountingEstablishes, monitors and enforces of accounting policies and proceduresManages the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business resultsAssists with the month-end and year-end close process including preparing information for any financial audits.Prepares financial reporting and analysis for the business including any information in regards to variancesDevelops and monitors business performance metricsEvaluates the effectiveness of accounting software and processes with a desire to continue to efficiently provide more timely and accurate informationMain point of contact for the business as it relates to revenue reporting and processes.Strives to reduce waste, recycle products whenever possible, and re-use resources when practicalWorks safely at all times, follows safety rules and policies and participates in scheduled trainingReports injuries and near misses promptly and in required detailed format; proposes corrective actionOther duties as may be assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Possess the ability to coach and mentor to optimize capabilities and ensure financial transactions are reported accurately and timely.
Reinforces a safety culture: leads by example, reminds employees to work safely, praises good behavior and safe practices, encourages suggestions, communicates consequences for unsafe acts, holds employees accountable, disciplines employees when warranted.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or finance or related field from four-year college or university; and 3-4 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret such items as general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or simple governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, or procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present financial information.

QUANTITATIVE SKILLS:
Must be able to calculate figures and amounts for all bookkeeping, payroll, and budgets. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to use a computer to create spreadsheets, charts and reports and analyze and apply information to make practical, day-to-day business decisions.
