Summary of Program
Jabil’s Summer Internship Program in St. Petersburg Florida was recognized as one of the Top 100 Internship Programs in the country for 2023 by WayUp. This is the result of a holistic and engaging experience that summer interns at Jabil in St. Pete experienced. As a result, interns that are a part of this program for summer 2024 will get to engage with members of Jabil’s leadership team and participate in events related to professional development, networking & socializing, and community engagement. In addition, interns will have the opportunity to work with each other in committees, be assigned a Peer Partner (e.g., mentor), tour some of Jabil’s facilities and much more! Summary of Position
The intern will work with various members of the Supply Chain and Operations & Management teams to enhance internal costing solutions for mechanical components (metals and plastics). Come and join this global team to see how they help Jabil make everything better and anything possible.
Intern Duties & Responsibilities
Analyze and interpret complex datasets to identify trends and patterns, providing actionable insights to enhance supply chain/costing processes.
Engage with ongoing project related to machine learning, automation, and data analytics to contribute to the development and application of cutting-edge technologies in supply chain management.
Participate in the development and implementation of software solutions to streamline supply chain processes, enhancing overall efficiency and productivity.
Utilize creative thinking and problem-solving skills to address challenges in the supply chain process, proposing innovative solutions that can improve efficiency, reduce costs, or enhance overall performance.
Collaborate with various teams across the organization to support supply chain initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and fostering a holistic understanding of the supply chain ecosystem.
Display adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic work environment, responding effectively to changing priorities and new challenges in the field of supply chain management.
Qualifications
Class Year: Rising Junior, Rising Senior, Recent Graduate
Majors: Supply chain management, Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical preferred), Information Systems, Data Analytics, or other related majors
GPA: Min 3.0
Availability: Must be available to work in St. Petersburg, Florida from May 20,2024 – Aug 9, 2024.
Technical Skills:
Experience with Power BI and SQL is preferred
Strong excel and data analytics skills required
Previous relevant internship experience preferred
Critical thinking and teamwork skills
Effective Communication
Self-starter – Ability to drive work to completion with efficiency
Leadership skills: Agility, Building Trusting Relationships, Decision Making Skills & Resilience
