40% Cleaning and Supervising the Facility
Perform routine building safety checks, write incident reports, and call for emergency backup, when necessary, monitor patrons in case of fights and call managers and security for help as needed; complete opening and closing procedures; provide cleaning support to maintenance through chore checklists that include sweeping of gym, mopping, laundry, wiping weights in the weight room, disinfecting cardio and weight room equipment, and more.
25% Guest Services and Check-In
Take care of all patrons; maintain guest relations and building check-in process; maintain building usage logs; check equipment in and out to patrons; track equipment inventory; maintain lost and found; provide general information about intramurals, special events, building information, and hours.
20% Intramural & Special Event Assistance
Help set up, facilitate, officiate, keep score, keep time, and assemble schedule rosters for all intramurals, and special events including basketball, volleyball, spike ball, flag football, sand volleyball, cornhole, kickball, and more.
5% Advertising Support
Assist with advertising for all events hosted by the Campus Recreation Center. Maintain sign boards weekly, help create digital fliers for social media, and provide other advertising help as needed.
5% Answer Phones and Take Messages
Answer the Campus Recreation Center phone line and take care of any questions. Take messages as needed for all professional staff.
Must be certified in First Aid/CPR/AED. If currently certified, verification is required. If not certified, steps to complete this training will be taken to assure that this requirement is fulfilled.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Personable when answering phone calls and talking with patrons.
Creative and organized are a plus.
5% Other duties as assigned.
