Job Description:

General Purpose
Consonus Rehab Managers are responsible for directing the physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech language pathology professionals as well as support staff on their team to successful clinical outcomes, compliance with all applicable regulations, Consonus Policies and Procedures, excellent customer satisfaction, and targeted business results

Essential Duties

Liaise with customer to ensure residents needing therapy services have orders, verification of funding and are scheduled timely for necessary services. 2. Ensure team members are trained in and appropriately implement Consonus clinical programs and pathways as outlined to ensure evidence-based practice and optimal patient outcomes.

3. Coordinate and communicate with all members of the Interdisciplinary team to ensure successful outcomes. 4. Assign screens, wellness interventions, and/or personal fitness training services as requested according to Consonus policies and procedures. Completes documentation of services according to all applicable Consonus Documentation policies and procedures. 2. Records and bills services according to payer regulations and Consonus Billing policies and procedures. 3. Records labor time according to Federal, State, and local regulations and Consonus payroll policies and procedures. Rehab Manager Job Description Policy and Procedure, Personnel 8.15.2022 4. Complies with all Federal, State, and local regulations and Consonus policies and procedures including but not limited to those related to Fraud, Waste, Abuse, Resident Rights, CMS Rules of participation, HIPAA, Dress Code, and Safety. 5. Attends and participate appropriately in all mandatory trainings. 6. Takes personal responsibility for completing action plans related to improving and ensuring compliance. 7. Demonstrates practice of Consonus compliance principles including: Advocacy, Resource Stewardship, and Integrity (Doing the Right Thing).

Fiscal Management

1. Effectively manages labor expenses through awareness of staffing mix, use of PRN, overtime, and actual labor time.

2. Demonstrates knowledge of PDPM reimbursement system and assists Interdisciplinary team in appropriate coding of patient characteristics and services. 3. Achieves budgeted gross margin through successful management of key performance indicators.

Other Duties as Assigned and Appropriate

1. Attend and participate in facility meeting, programs, and trainings.

2. Mentor and develop new employees, students, and therapist assistants.

3. Complete travel opportunities as presented and accepted.

4. Participate in Vital Life Foundation Programs and New Chapter Events.

Staff Management

1. Participate in staff recruitment process as appropriate.

2. Ensure orientation and ongoing training occurs for all staff.

3. Schedule staff with clinical, financial and customer service objectives in mind.

4. Create an environment which facilitates engaged and productive team members

Customer Service

1. Ensure satisfaction of all customers- facility staff, residents, patients, families and other stakeholders.

2. Participate in meetings, events, program development as agreed to meet strategic goals of the customer.

3. Act as the liaison and representative of Consonus in customer interactions.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: High School Graduation or Equivalent

Reasoning Ability: Able to utilize Outlook to view and respond to emails; capable of efficient use of electronic documentation and billing system including keyboard and touch screen skills.
