We are recruiting for a top tier law firm with a growing Intellectual Property practice seeking an accomplished Intellectual Property partner attorney with a portable book of business for a diverse Intellectual Property group, encompassing prosecution, transactional, and litigation work. The firm considers alternative fee agreements and partners collaborate across offices for cross-marketing opportunities. Firm also has an an active life sciences group and trademark practice . The group has a deep technical bench of attorneys specializing in patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, antitrust and trade regulation, litigation, media and first amendment, and technology transfer to support IP and related matters. They are committed to accelerating professional development, supporting business growth, and maintaining a sustainable law firm financial model.
Additionally, they are seeking an experienced partner with portable business with a strong background in handling privacy and cybersecurity issues to contribute to the growth of our Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data breach prevention and risk-mitigation counseling, including tabletop design and delivery, data breach investigation and response counseling, and a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory framework for key international, federal, and state privacy laws. This includes the requirements of all effective and pending state consumer data privacy laws, PCI-DSS, GLBA, HIPAA, and GDPR. The candidate should demonstrate proficiency in implementing key components of privacy and security compliance programs, negotiating complex information technology, licensing and outsourcing contracts, and advising clients in all industries on a wide variety of privacy and data security matters. Other key responsibilities include advising on data governance strategies, addressing privacy and cybersecurity due diligence issues in M&A transactions, and drafting company terms of service and website privacy policies.
Develop and maintain a strong book of business, cultivating and expanding client relationships within the litigation practice. Provide strategic counsel and advocacy to clients, delivering efficient and effective legal solutions tailored to their needs and objectives. Collaborate with attorneys across different practice areas to cross-sell services, maximize client opportunities, and drive business development initiatives.
