BHS has an internal only opportunity for a Quality Control Technician at our Danebo location.
In this position, you will work under the direction of the Quality Control Department Lead and perform in-process production, final equipment, and pre-ship quality control for the Production Team. You will also perform root cause analysis on non-conformance parts and communicate findings. You will also generate and maintain the Quality Control database and Standards database.
If You Have These Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities...
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Fabricator Level 3 required
Five (5) years' experience in fabrication/welding with BHS procedures required
Proficiency with MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook required
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing across all levels of the organization
CAD experience a plus
Ability to communicate effectively in person with individuals with varying levels of manufacturing experience essential
And Are Interested In These Responsibilities...
Inspecting products and investigating defects by working with the Production Team, including reporting, documenting, and communicating any nonconformities to Quality Control Department Lead and/or Shop Supervisor
Generating reports of nonconformance of products or processes, root cause analyses, or quality trends
Identifying quality problems or areas for improvement in shop or vendor related, and recommending solutions in shop or through the vendor return authorization (RA) process
Generating and completing the RA process for vendor nonconformance
Supporting development of standards and processes, including participating in cross functional improvement groups
Creating and maintaining guidebooks for Oregon Manufacturing Extension Partnership (OMEP), including assisting with creating job module trainings
Conducting all weld testing including both new hire applicant and employee progression testing
Ensuring all safety policies and procedures are followed and completing required safety and OMEP training programs
Engaging in process improvement initiatives under shop management direction
