About the Role

The Sr. VIBE Communications Manager is responsible for providing internal communications, campaigns and marketing support across VIBE priority projects, events and signature programs, as well as helping ensure a VIBE perspective is intentionally infused within People & Purpose messaging. This role will lead an important portfolio of work through influence and ability to inspire and engage our employees through inclusive storytelling that elevates the voices of our diverse workforce. Our ideal candidate has a genuine passion for diversity, inclusion, belonging, and equity, experience in the field and expertise in communications. The role requires an ability, mindset and willingness to navigate complex, sensitive and sometimes controversial topics, as well as agility in responding to issues that arise in the internal and external environment that impact employee communities across Workday.

This role will involve managing the needs of both internal and external partners and stakeholders, including but not limited to executives, and cross-functional collaborators.You'll partner closely with our VIBE team and work with across business functions and regions to help craft stories, develop and deploy messaging that connects our 19,000+ employees to our strategy. In addition, you'll have a pulse on what's top of mind for our executives, people leaders and employees when it comes to VIBE and awareness of current VIBE related industry topics, using those insights to create community and experiences that help employees feel connected and inspired in this work and how it supports our company vision to Value Inclusion, Belonging, and Equity for all.

Internal Communications


  • Provide DEI practitioner subject matter expertise to inform global/regional communication and marketing strategies, campaigns, initiatives and partnerships


  • Partner with VIBE Communications Director and other key collaborators and partners to assess effectiveness and overall impact of VIBE content on across channels


Content Development & Strategy


  • Develop a communications strategy that connects VIBE with the Workday corporate narrative and business priorities


  • Develop digital marketing assets and campaigns to amplify VIBE priorities, programs and signature events


  • Develop metrics & KPIs to measure impact and effectiveness of VIBE messaging, storytelling and key communication methods


Executive Communications


  • Serve as a strategic communications advisor and thought partner to Workday's Chief Diversity Officer, the VIBE leadership team and other key business leaders building their VIBE identities, stories and platforms


  • Help strategically communicate and position VIBE as a differentiating factor in Workday's products and solutions

About You

As a key member of the VIBE Global Communications Team, you will serve as a strategic advisor and subject matter expert on B&D/VIBE-related communications and multicultural marketing initiatives. You will partner and lead various elements of the communications and marketing strategy to Value Inclusion, Belonging, and Equity (VIBE) at Workday. The role will report to the Director, Belonging & Diversity Communications. In this role, you will partner closely with our broader corporate communications team within the Marketing Organization. You should have a passion for building a more diverse and inclusive world, enjoy the art of storytelling and demonstrate a strategic, data-driven mindset to inspire highly engaging and impactful communications.

Basic Qualifications


  • Experience leading DEI communications or working on DEI programs


  • Integrated marketing, social media and communications


  • Proven ability to think strategically and drive execution across multiple communications disciplines and channels


  • Leadership agility and ability to advise and influence senior leaders on communications approach, messaging and positioning


  • Experience working on global storytelling


  • Steer outcomes with confidence


  • Issues or reputation management experience


  • Experience managing projects end-to-end, with an ability to multitask, move quickly, self-start and be agile enough to operate with ambiguity


  • Excellent writing, storytelling and creative skills



Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate's compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $136,000 USD - $204,000 USD


Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $105,800 USD - $204,000 USD
