Sierra Executive Solutions, Inc. (SES) is a 3rd party search firm recruiting for a casino client company's General Ledger Accountant or Senior Accountant. Hired title will depend on experience; can be Staff to Senior level.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for monthly general ledger close. Assist in the preparation and distribution of financial statements.
Ensure that all deliverables comply with regulatory guidance and professional standards. Provide assistance to Controller with external audit and regulatory examinations.
Provide assistance to Controller with supervision and training of accounting staff.
Assigned to major areas of responsibility such as Fixed Assets, Gaming Revenue and Tax/Licenses return preparation.
Assist or take lead on other general ledger, accounting and analytical projects. Assist with special projects assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience level: 3+ years general ledger accounting is required
Education level: Associates or Bachelor's degree is preferred
