Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to join our executive team. The ideal candidate will be a licensed attorney with substantial experience in commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance documents. As CAO, you will oversee our daily administrative and operational functions, ensuring legal compliance, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and streamline operational and administrative procedures.
  • Manage legal aspects of real estate transactions, contract management, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Support the creation and administration of private real estate investment funds.
  • Ensure all business practices adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement company policies and standards.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to align administrative strategies with company goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop our administrative team to enhance performance and engagement.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active attorney license with eligibility to practice in Maryland (Virginia and DC would be helpful as well)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a legal or administrative role within the commercial sector, with a focus on commercial contracts, corporate governance documents, and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and a track record of managing teams and complex projects.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a keen ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
