Job Purpose
The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical leadership within the Engineering team to support the development and execution of innovation and expansion projects. Provide leadership and creativity in the design, development, optimization and implementation of major manufacturing and supporting processes.
Job Responsibilities and Key Tasks
Provide functional leadership and creativity in the initiation of design, development, and optimization of manufacturing equipment and processes.
Provide engineering support and capital estimations to cross-functional teams.
Lead Design Reviews for major projects.
Participate / lead mechanical problem-solving activities and publish root cause failure analysis reports.
Provide scope development, technical support and leadership for engineered solutions.
Provides on-site leadership and support for project installation, check-out and start-up activities.
Leads turn-over meetings and teleconferences working across functions and plant locations.
Protects technologies and products through appropriate use of patents, trade secrets, and other intellectual property.
Employ innovative approaches based on available scientific/practical knowledge to projects moderate in scope, help to define objectives for projects, and deliver projects according to project expectations.
Engage and communicate with vendors and suppliers worldwide.
Visibly demonstrate that safety is a value by following safety procedures, maintaining a safe workplace and complying with safety rules.
Monitor the execution (achievements/timeline/investments/actuals) and provide regular reports on project status to project team and key stakeholders.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in industrial engineering and / or technical project management.
Experience in the hygienic, packaging or food industry.
Ability to work with design software (CAD).
Project Management tools mastery is a plus (MS Project...).
