At Midland States Bank, base salary is one component of our Total Rewards program. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as (but not limited to) education, skills, internal equity, and experience. This position offers additional compensation in the form of short-term incentives (i.e. bonus and/or commission) and may include long-term incentives (i.e. stock awards). Position Summary


The Treasury Services Specialist III is responsible for supporting the Treasury Service products as well as the delivery of exceptional customer service to Midland States Bank staff and its customers. He/she should always be up to date on the enhancements and/or changes to the products. This individual will assist and provide support as needed in order to foster and sustain a strong team environment.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Verification of information pertaining customer applications for both personal and business online banking through the completion of the setup process for these customers.
  • Serves as customer contact representative for the Treasury Service products.
  • Has the ability to process one of more Treasury service products including ACH, Wire Transfers, Positive Pay, Remote Deposit Capture, Lock Box and Online Banking applications and setups.
  • Able to answer questions related to deposit products and applications in relation to Treasury Services.
  • Process or validate various reports in relation to job assignments.
  • Maintains a current knowledge of new and existing systems software and hardware.
  • Responsible for setup and maintenance of online banking profiles.
  • Assist in the instruction and training of the bank staff on features and benefits of Treasury Services Products.
  • Performs other duties and handles special projects from time to time as assigned by manager.
  • Observe all security, privacy and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of regulatory regulations and requirements.
  • Keep up-to-date on procedures.
  • Assist with the review and testing of procedures and new products.
  • Train on and support all job functions within work unit.
  • Assist with conversion process as needed.
  • Assist team members and other operations staff members as needed.
  • The role requires occasional travel for training and team meetings, and willingness to travel periodically, to locations within market as needed.
  • May require work in a Midland office to ensure collaboration and support of internal and external customers.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
  • Other duties as assigned.


Position Qualifications

Education/Experience:


  • Preferred a Bachelor’s Degree and 1-2 years or an Associate’s Degree with 3-4 years relevant banking experience and/or knowledge within a specific service/product line.
  • Strong Team player displaying leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent follow up skills.
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated ability working with bank regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn various procedures, guidelines and regulations.
